Series consists of correspondence created and maintained by Archives of Ontario staff with individuals, outside organizations, corporations, other archival institutions, school boards, universities, municipalities, provincial and federal governments, as well as Ontario government ministries and agencies. Subjects covered by the records include acquisition of records by the Archives, research inquiries, services provided by the Archives, fees, regional, provincial and national archival organizations, initiatives and activities related to archives, records management, heritage preservation, historical research, activities and acquisitions of other archives, as well as Archives of Ontario operations. Series also contains memoranda among Archives of Ontario staff, between the Archives of Ontario and other Ontario government offices, copies of background information on various subjects and correspondence pertaining to genealogical matters for the years 1903 to 1976.
